The Royal Oak Hotel, Chapel en le Frith

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The room was a little dated but clean and comfortable, although we had to change rooms due to a leak in the ceiling. The service was friendly and welcoming, with a big room provided for our group, and even an early cooked breakfast. The location was ideal for High Peak walks, centrally located for our visits, and with plenty of coffee available. The dining experience was a bit hit and miss, with slow service and limited breakfast options. Despite minor issues, it served as a good base for walkers in a convenient location.

The hotel has lots of hanging space and all the necessary bits in the room, but the bathroom is small and has various faults. The location at the front of the property is specified as a twin room on the booking site, making it convenient for multiple guests. Despite some shortcomings, the hotel provides a decent stay with good amenities.
